DRN Welcomes Jabin and Ally Umfleet
National Strategy Meeting
Dirt Roads Network and Lamont Wesleyan Church are excited to introduce our newest team members, Jabin and Ally Umfleet. Jabin and Ally are seniors at OKWU. They will drive to Lamont every weekend to lead the LWC Youth Group for the rest of the school year.
When they graduate in the spring, they will move to the LWC ministry area. They will then be the first participants in the Dirt Roads Network’s on-site residency program, while continuing as LWC’s youth pastors.
A Place where Faith Creates Family
Dirt Roads Network is convening a national strategy session on August 21-23 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Over the last 18 months God has attracted several key pastors from around the country to the Dirt Roads Network’s vision. These pastors will meet for three days to pray, plan and deploy. Our goals include a strategy for rural church planting and revitalization, establishing cohorts and peer networks, and providing training events and conferences.
God is doing an amazing thing in Iola, Kansas. David and Shaunna are leading a fresh move of God. Dirt Roads Network believes that God uses all sorts of churches to transform rural America. The Watershed Collective is an example of God using house churches to reach the unreached. When you support DRN, you are supporting projects like this. I asked Shaunna for an update on what God is doing, here is her report.
